Kente cloth and why I homeschool

Middle J, my 7 year old, came up to me one afternoon and said,

"Mommy, look what I made!"

I thought to myself.......

now THIS is one of the reasons why I homeschool.

I wanted to raise children who were

creative.

I wanted to raise children who were

imaginative.

I wanted to raise children who could be

expressive.

I wanted to raise children who knew how to fill their time without being told 

how to fill it.

I wanted to raise children who knew never to say the words

'I'm bored'.

I think I am on the right path.
