Little J said to me the other day, "Mommy, you look like my Barbie Doll."
Why, what a sweet thing to say.
I think....
I mean, trying to look like a Barbie doll has never been a goal of mine in life.
But wait, she wasn't done.
Little J went on to say,
"Well mommy you look like her, except for her dress.....
.... and her make-up
.... and (okay, here it comes, I knew it would)
.... and those things." (Pointing to Barbie's 'well endowment'.)
((sigh))
Back-handed compliment or truth?
Truth. Glad to know the goal I never had will never be achieved.
Why do we say you look like a Barbie doll to all our pretty friends. I actually have a friend who really does look like a Barbie doll, and she hates it when we say it.
