Old-Fashioned Frosted Butter Cookies

If the title has the words "old fashioned" in it, you know it's got to be good. Now add in the words "butter" and "cookies" and you're guaranteed something delicious!

This is my mother's recipe, and I'm sure most home cooks have a recipe just like this in their own recipe box.  But, if by chance you don't, then you now have no excuse to not have an "old fashioned cookie" recipe in your recipe box too.

  1. I'll go for an old-fashion butter cookie anytime! My mom used to make molasses cookies. I loved eating them while still warm before she frosted them. You just made me think about that and I don't have her recipe. Looks I might give her a call today! Your cookies sound wonderful and look perfect!
