One of my favorite days....

.... July 4th.

*Parades.
*Giving kids permission to run in the street for candy.
*Super Soaker fights with the firemen in their trucks.
*Standing for our veterans.
*Saluting our flag.
*The smell of the charcoal grill.
*Laughing with good friends.
*Cold beer, sangria and delicious food.
*Children running in the backyard.
*Sun setting.
*Mosquitos biting.
*Over to the "grand stand."
*Cover band.
*Dancing with friends.
*Under the stars.
*Blankets.
*The murmuring of voices.
*Glow sticks.
*Bang.
*Ooo.... ahh.
*Bed.
*Leaving the party mess clean-up for tomorrow.
*Thankfulness.
*Gratitude.
*Our country.
*Our military.
*Our freedom.
